Audio Visual Coordinator

Goal: Use the technology to enhance the church’s worship ministry. This includes but is not

limited to the following:

• Operate tech for all worship services, with first refusal for funerals or weddings (additional

compensation for funerals and weddings)

• Oversee the training, scheduling and work of the volunteer A/V equipment operators in the

sanctuary, making sure that a trusted substitute is trained to cover your absences

• Create a template and overall design direction for graphics and other items shown on the

screens during the service as well as providing the final product (we use ProPresenter)

• Create occasional virtual choir or musical selections or creative additions to worship as needed

• Curate posting of services across media platforms (we use Boxcast to livestream over its

streaming service and YouTube, FaceBook Live and Zoom

• Track worship attendance across all media

• Attend staff meetings (between 2-4 per year)

Qualifications:

• Experience operating A/V for worship services that include livestream and Zoom

• Ability to create needed graphics for the screens

• Ability to mentor volunteers so they can share in the A/V ministry

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Comfort working in a church environment that is led by a woman pastor and is open and

affirming in its welcome to all, including those who identify as LGBTQ+

Compensation: $ 20-$ 30 per hour for 6-8 hrs per week, including Sundays, depending on experience
